Special Offer on Workhouse Festival Tickets - '5 for the price of 4', Family Tickets and Day Tickets
Workhouse Festival 10th-12th July
The credit is crunching and wallets are feeling a little lighter at the moment but the team at The Workhouse don't want this to stop people having a fantastic summer. So they are introducing a special group-discount offer for their last lot of tickets. You can now buy 5 tickets for the price of 4. This applies to adult and youth tickets. Club together with a few of friends/family/colleagues and you can make a hefty saving. We've done our research and we think that this offer makes Workhouse the cheapest 3 day camping festival of the summer. Family tickets and day tickets are also available. The family ticket includes two adults and two 13-17 year olds (children go free). Day tickets are also going on sale for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Workhouse is volunteer run, independent and all proceeds go to charity. These special offers are available www.wegottickets.com/f/774
We spoke to Ian Garland of the festival committee who told us ‘We know it’s a difficult time for people financially and wanted to help people group together and have a fantastic weekend. It’s a beautiful way to forget your day to day stresses and people will get a lot for their money with 10 different venues all within 10 minutes walk of their tent.’
The Workhouse Festival will be 3 days packed with the kind of entertainment that you would normally have to travel far and wide to see. There will be 10 venues all within 10 minutes walk of your tent including the internationally renowned Blockheads, cult comics such as Attilla The Stockbroker and a whole area of Kid’s Entertainment. With under 3 weeks to go preparations are well under way down at the Workhouse site in Llanfyllin. Despite forecasts for a dry weekend they’re busy building trenches in the arena field to drain away any rain that does fall, all the bands and performers are booked, the bars are being stocked with award winning local beer, cider and spirits, extra water supplies are going in to keep people hydrated through the warm weather and the colourful site decoration is being designed.

The Llanfyllin Workhouse is a new and exciting venture for entertainment, education, arts and social enterprise in Wales. This innovative project will holistically incorporate music and theatre, business and community use, education and training, history and heritage. Most importantly the Llanfyllin Workhouse will be socially inclusive; benefiting all members of the local and wider community and the site is being regenerated within an ecological and sustainable framework. The project is advancing rapidly and within the last 12 months the Workhouse Gallery and the Workhouse Venue have opened their doors and we have had many events including children's theatre, music and cinema.
The Llanfyllin Workhouse is very pleased to welcome the world renowned Allegri String Quartet to perform a special children's concert as part of the week-long Llanfyllin Music Festival.
