The Llanfyllin Workhouse is a new and exciting venture for entertainment, education, arts and community enterprise in Wales.  To find out more please visit our project page.

The Workhouse Festival was a resounding success and we would like to thank everyone who helped make it possible.  All profits from the Workhouse Festival go towards the regeneration and renovation of the building.   If you would like to find out more about the festival please have a look.

At the festival the Workhouse Ale was launched and for every pint sold over the festival weekend £1 was donated to the Workhouse Building.  Workhouse Ale was produced for us by Stonehouse Brewery in Oswestry.

We are having another VOLUNTEER WEEKEND from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st  August.  If you would like to get involved and do some work on the building or in grounds in exchange for food, drink and general fun and entertainment please email us.  Some photos of the last volunteer weekend can be seen here

Also we value everyones ideas and input, so if you have an idea for the building or would like to be involved in some way please do get in touch.

We have even more events lined up starting in August, we are really excited about using the new indoor venue and the making of it really could not be possible if it wasn't for all our hardworking volunteers and community support.  Thank you all very much.

    volunteer_weekend_2_300There is a lot going on down at the Workhouse at the moment and we are very grateful to have a team of dedicated volunteers prepared to dig, shovel and get tired.  Last weekend many volunteers arrived at the Workhouse and helped us achieve so much. 

    The community venue is getting closer to being ready to be used, courtyards have been cleared, some floors have been insulated and much more.  Please come down and have a look at whats going on.  If you would like to become a volunteer we would love to hear from you. 

    On 5th October we have some exciting family theatre in the new venue.  Tickets are now on sale for Potted Potter here

    On Monday 13th October Maddy Prior is playing at Theatr Llwyn...find out more here .  Tickets are on sale now at £14 and will be a hugely popular concert.
