Volunteer at the Workhouse

Have you a few hours to spare each week or just now and again and would like to use the time productively.

 

At the Workhouse we are starting a new volunteer programme in March with regular volunteer Thursdays and some weekend dates. There is a lot to do and a wide variety of skills required. You can share skills you have and learn new ones as well as socialising with some vibrant and innovative people.

We need help with office work, book keeping, computer up-dates, carpentry, plumbing, building, cleaning and clearing, plastering, painting, gardening, and much more. A few hours on a Thursday or at the weekend can make a huge difference to how much is achieved. If you want to help but cannot make a set day we can make other arrangements for you.

 

Just come along on a Thursday any time between 10.30am and 4pm, wear hard boots or shoes, old clothes or overalls and if you have work gloves and any tools that would be useful bring them along. We will provide drinks but bring a packed lunch unless we have stated we will provide food.
